Testing for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) including diagnosis, treatment and education. Confidential and anonymous testing provided at the sexual health clinic, special events and community sites around Columbus. We also offer support services such as counseling, referrals, and educational programming.

Sexual Health and Wellness Program Services Information

Offers comprehensive sexual health services, including STI testing, diagnosis, treatment, PrEP, expedited partner therapy and education.

Appointments preferred, limited walk-ins available. Interpreters Available. Sliding fee scale for uninsured. Most insurances accepted.

Take Care Down There Clinic

The Take Care Down There Clinic is a free, walk-in STI testing clinic at Columbus Public Health. We test for:

  • Gonorrhea (optional urine sample, oral swab, and/or anal swab sample)
  • Chlamydia (optional urine sample, oral swab, and/or anal swab sample)
  • Trichomoniasis (optional urine sample)
  • Syphilis (optional blood draw)
  • All test results take 5 -7 business days to process.
  • Clinic visitors will also be screened for their HIV risk. We offer higher risk individuals a finger-stick HIV test. Same-day HIV test results (approximately 30 minutes) are provided.

  • Payment Types accepted: Cash, Visa, MasterCard and Discover
  • Insurance Cards accepted: Medicaid, Medicare, CareSource, UnitedHealthcare, Molina Healthcare and Anthem
  • ATM in our Main Lobby
  • Sliding Fee payment scale is used for all uninsured clients
  • No one is refused care for inability to pay
